1. Who are Online Auctions?
Online Auctions LLP (established 1991) is a legally registered company specialising in selling items on the internet. Please see About Us for more information.

2. What does Online Auctions do?
We take your goods from you, handle all aspects of the sale and get the best possible results for our clients. Online Auctions usually (but not always) uses eBay (the World's largest internet marketplace) for this purpose.

3. What sells on eBay?
Literally anything - remember your 'rubbish' is someone else's treasure! We do not normally accept items that in our opinion will sell for less than £40. Please see What Sells for more information.

4. How do I get my item(s) to you?
Click on Locations for a map showing our main Drop-off Store in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. We are also able to collect (a charge may be made) and are happy to receive goods by post. Please contact us if you wish to use 'collection' or 'postal' services - if the item(s) is particularly large (typicably a car, motorbike, furniture etc) an Online Auctions representative can come to you.

5. What does it cost?
There are usually no charges if the item(s) fails to sell. Fees are normally between 30% & 35% of final auctions price and this includes all charges paid to eBay. For further details please see the Fees page.

6. How soon do I get paid?
We will normally list your item(s) within five to twelve working days on a Seven Day Auction. If your items sell (and they usually do!) Online Auctions will not send them to the successful bidder until payment has been received. As we offer a 'Full - No quibble guarantee', Online Auctions will allow seven days after the buyer has received the item(s) in case there are any queries/returns. This 'guarantee' that Online Auctions offers results in higher overall auction prices which benefits everybody. Normally a client (you) will receive a cheque through your letter box within four weeks of Online Auctions receiving your item(s).

7. Will you buy items directly from me?
Yes - but a higher price will usually be obtained via the 'Auction' route and this will always be advised.

8. What do I need?
Goods (obviously) that are likely to sell for over £40 and are legally tradeable. You must be 18 or over and may be asked for proof of identity. Payment is always by cheque and will be made to your registered address.

9. Why should I use Online Auctions?
It can be great fun to sell on eBay and we are happy to show you how to register (please see the Buying on eBay page) but it does take time! Typically between 1½ and 2½ hours are taken with each item (endless email enquiries and Post Office queues are often forgotten). Online Auctions deal with everything and your listings are professionally handled from start to finish. We sell around 90% of the items we list - the UK average is nearer 50% for the first listing! Put simply - more time and less hassle for you plus higher prices!
